About WiFi Lens
Who builds it, and why it stays on your Mac.
WiFi Lens is a native macOS Wi-Fi analysis and network diagnostics app developed by Shiina Labs, an independent software studio led by Kaoru Shiina. WiFi Lens Pro is distributed through the Mac App Store, while an open-source edition is available on GitHub.
A complete Mac workflow
WiFi Lens Pro brings live analysis, menu bar monitoring, Timeline history, Statistics, and Insights into one native app for investigating wireless problems over time.
Private by default
The app has no backend, analytics SDKs, or telemetry. Your network data never leaves your Mac, and the AI integration only reads your local interface. Aggregate website analytics are separate from the app.
Open source and built for macOS
The open-source edition is published under the Apache 2.0 license, and WiFi Lens uses Apple’s CoreWLAN framework as a native macOS app targeting macOS 14+ on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
